The Southington Township Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

The Southington Trustees want to commend our volunteer firefighters and emergency medical personnel for their selfless dedication to protecting the lives and property of Southington Township.

Our volunteers spend countless hours in training and maintaining the Township’s life saving equipment.  They rush away from family meals and/or family gatherings to answer the siren’s wail for help.  Many nights they are shocked out of a sound sleep to risk their lives.

We are very proud of our volunteers and we view them as second to no one when it comes to professionalism and dedication to service in our community.

On behalf of the entire Southington community, the Trustees wish you a happy “60th” and offer a sincere “thank you” for a job well done.
